Abstract

In addition to being used in many levels of education and certificate programs in higher education, distance education was used together with formal education in universities with distance education centers and other universities that received support from them in formal education. However, this situation necessitated the transition to distance education in education and training in all fields, from pre-school education to doctoral education, from certificate programs to in-service training programs after the Covid 19 pandemic. In this study, it is aimed to examine student attitudes and communication satisfactions towards the use of distance education environments/platforms, which are used extensively due to the social isolation brought by the pandemic. For this purpose, the Attitude Scale form on the Use of Distance Education Environments in the Pandemic Process developed by Yıldız, Çengel and Alkan (2021) and has usability, competence and motivation, effectiveness and satisfaction dimensions and the Abbreviated Student Communication Satisfaction Scale, which was developed by Goodboy, Martin, and Bolkan (2009) and adapted into Turkish by Akın, Yalnız, and Kazaz (2015). The data were collected online voluntarily from the students of Atatürk University through these forms, and the obtained data were analyzed with the SPSS 20 package program.
