Agriculture in Giresun Province According to İhsan Abidin’s Observations (1922-1927)

Abstract

This study includes the agriculture of Giresun Province in the observations made by İhsan Abidin in Anatolia for six years between 1922-1927. İhsan Abidin, who spent six years working on his annual leave, gives very important “local information” in his observations he collected in two separate books. In addition to general agriculture, his compilations about “transhumance” and “sheep” in the region are of very different value. One of the sheep breeds, “A sultan’s order regarding the Karayaka sheep traders” was added to the article.
