DIGITAL MATURITY IN BUSINESSES IN THE CONTEXT OF INDUSTRY 4.0: THE CASE OF ERZURUM PROVINCE
Abstract
The concept of Industry 4.0, also known as the Fourth Industrial Revolution, was first introduced in 2011 at the Hannover Fair in Germany and spread all over the world. Industry 4.0 has become an inevitable part of daily life, in addition to bringing innovation and a technological dimension to production processes. The developed Industry 4.0 technologies force businesses to make radical changes in their business models, strategies, organizational structures, products and services. Businesses that research the gains of Industry 4.0 and Digital Transformation and take initiatives aim to determine their digital maturity levels before starting the digital transformation process and make investment plans accordingly. This study also aims to determine the digital maturity levels of businesses producing in Erzurum. For this purpose, 104 businesses participated in the survey using the “IZKA Digital Maturity Model” scale. The data obtained was analyzed with the SPSS program
