The Fourth Industrial Revolution (E4.0) came about when machines started to manage themselves and their production processes without the need for manpower thanks to the blending of computer, internet and communication technologies. Unlike the previous industrial revolutions, in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the technology got ahead of the industry and started to industrialize and gain new business models, product-service models and organizational structures. Industry 4.0 is a process that has a large number of components and is affected by the effectiveness of these ingredients. These components; 3D printers, big data, autonomous robots, system integration, augmented reality, simulation, smart factories, internet of things, cloud computing, cyber-physical systems, cyber security and artificial intelligence. Here, one of the main components of Industry 4.0 is 3D printer technology that enables additive manufacturing. Similar to the convenience of printing on paper in conventional 2D printers, it is possible to produce almost anything with this technology. 3D printers are a relatively new but very rapidly developing method of production. In this study, the use of 3D printers in education, health, food, jewelry, construction, aviation and space, defense, textile and automotive industries are explained with examples.
